A young girl was standing in a deserted castle. Dust covered mostly everything. In some corners, there were cobwebs. She started to walk around in a curious manner. The entire place looked like it was from a different era of time. The furniture seemed like antiques. As the girl progressed through the little castle, she noticed a shadowy figure was standing in a dark room. It was staring outside a window, completely silent. Taking quiet and small steps, the girl walked toward the door to the room where the shadowy figure was inside. Suddenly, the window shattered and the next thing the young girl saw was the shadowy creature being taken away by a man. The shadowy figure was apparently knocked out and was being pulled on the ground. In a short time, the moon appeared through the thick, swaying trees that earlier blocked its light. Being able to see the shadowy figure finally, the girl noticed that it looked like a man with wings and wore unusual white and blue clothes. He had long, platinum or silver hair. It was still hard to tell even with the help of the moon. There was a mirror in the room and the girl could see her reflection while standing at the door. It was Sakura's reflection.
"Huh?...Wha?"
"Sakura, go back to sleep..." Kate said.
"It was just a dream...." Sakura said to herself. "But what kind of dream? It felt like I was right there, as if it was happening for real..."
Sakura looked at her wristwatch on the desk next to her bed. It read 3:00 A.M. She closed her eyes once again and tried to relax, but she just could not fall asleep. So, she decided to go outside for a little walk. She slipped on her sandals and put her coat on. As she opened the door, she tried not to wake anyone. She got outside, closed the door, and went on her walk. She decided that she would walk over to the beach because it was only a short distance from her cabin. When she got there, she was surprised to see that there was somebody there. She could not tell who it was from the back of their head, but was positive that it was a boy. Sakura thought that she could be more relaxed and forget about the dream if she would talk to that person.
"H-hi." Sakura said.
"Oh, it's you." It was Li.
"What're you up to, Li?" Sakura asked.
"Nothing..." Li answered.
Kero crossed Sakura's mind. She remembered that he said that there was another Cardcaptor named Li Showron. "Li, can I ask you something?" Sakura said.
"Whatever..." Li muttered.
"Well, this may sound weird, but..." Sakura could not get her words out.
"But?"
"D-do you- Have you heard of a Cardcaptor?" Sakura finally said.
"I knew it! You are one, too!" Li said. "Look, let's just get one thing straight. A few days ago, the cards escaped somehow. I was sent here not on coincidence, you know. My job here is to get the cards back. I am a direct descendant of Clow Reed, if you don't know. And I'm not going to let some other Cardcaptor take the cards. It will bring shame to our family."
"But Li, I can help," Sakura said.
"Thanks, but I don't need help," Li said. "Look, can we just get off the subject? I don't feel like talking about the cards right now."
"Sure..." Sakura said. "What brings you here in the middle of the night?"
"That's what I was going to ask you," Li said. "Well, if you must know, I was thinking of my family back in Hong Kong. I-I sorta miss them..."
"You mean, you're here by yourself?" Sakura asked.
"No, I'm here with a very close family friend. His name is John. He knew why I had to go and my parents could not come- no matter how bad they wanted. They had stay and work. So he, being totally free of anything to do, volunteered to come with me," Li said.
"That was very nice of him," Sakura said.
"Well, what are you doing walking around at three in the morning?" Li asked.
"I had a very strange dream and I woke up," Sakura said. "I couldn't go back to sleep ever since so I took a walk. That's when I saw you over here."
"Oh..." Li said. "What made you want to talk to me?"
"Well, I dunno. I just felt that if I talked to you, I would forget about my troubles or something..."
"Really? You thought I could do that for you?" Li started to blush.
"Yeah I guess..." Sakura answered.
A slight breeze blew from the water and went to the two of them. Sakura shuddered to the cold wind that swept that went by them. She only wore a thin coat. It was her favorite coat though. She always wore it whenever she had the chance. It was light blue and was very soft.
"Are you cold?" Li asked.
"Yeah, a little..." Sakura answered.
"I'm wearing an extra jacket..." Li said. "You wanna..."
"Yeah, please. I'm freezing," Sakura answered with a little chattering tone. "I should've wore my other coat, but I've always loved this one."
Li took off his jacket and put it on Sakura's back.
"Thanks, that's better," Sakura said smiling.
Li said nothing and avoided eye contact. The two of them stopped talking and stared at the still water before them. Sakura forgot her watch and was curious how long she's been outside. She couldn't tell if Li had a watch because of his long sleeves.
"Uh, Li?" Sakura said. "Do you have a watch with you?"
"Yeah," Li said as he checked his watch. "It's three thirty-two."
"Oh, ok..." Sakura said. "Can you tell me when it's four because I want to have some sleep before we have to eat breakfast."
"Yeah, sure..." Li answered.
"Can I ask you something?" Sakura asked.
"Whatever..." Li said.
"Well, how come you always avoid us? We keep on trying to be friends with you, but you just never give us the chance..." Sakura said.
"....." Li said nothing.
"Li?" Sakura asked.
Suddenly, there was a splash nearby.
"What was that?" Sakura asked.
"I dunno, but it sounded like it came from over there," Li told Sakura.
There were now two voices they could hear. It sounded like they were swimming nearby.
"I'm gonna check what that was," Li informed. "You stay here, it's safer- I think."
Li went to the source of the noise.
"Huh? What are you two doing here?" Li asked the two people.
"Oh, it's only Li," One of them said.
"What about you, Li? How come you're here?" The other one said.
"Well, um..." Li hesitated.
"Li? What was that?" Sakura asked.
"You're with her!" The fist voice said.
Sakura came over to Li to find out for herself what the noise was.
"Nathan! Brian!" Sakura said. "You two are always looking for trouble!"
"Hey, Sakura," Brian said. "What brings you here? I guess you heard. Come to help?"
Nathan and Brian were wearing their swimming trunks and right next to them was a canoe with two paddles in it.
"Huh? Heard what?" Sakura asked.
"Well, we're gonna go to the nearest island by canoe. There have been rumors that there have been sightings of unusual 'light.' Who knows what it could be, but we're gonna check it out and come back before five o' clock. We were told that it only takes around ten minutes to get there if we paddled fast," Nathan said.
"You're crazy, what if you get caught?" Sakura said. "Mr. Thomas will make sure you two will have detention until the end of the year. Or, he could even expel you."
"You're too negative, Sakura," Nathan said. "I appreciate your concern, but you know how good we are at planning these kinda things."
"Yeah, but do you remember that time you two got caught pulling a prank on the principal and I had to bail you two out?!" Sakura said.
"That was only one time, Sakura," Brian said. "Besides, we've taken extra care on this one."
"Well, I guess I can't stop you no matter how much I keep on trying," Sakura said as she finally gave up.
"Oh, uh, Li..." Nathan said. "Can you keep this a secret?"
"Yeah...whatever..." Li said.
"Hey, Li, what's the time?" Brian asked.
"Three forty-one," Li said.
"Alright, bye guys," Brian said.
"Bye, Sakura," Nathan said. "Wish us luck. Later, Li."
"You two better come back before five! Just like you said," Sakura said.
The two of them got on the canoe and paddled their way toward the nearby island. They soon went farther and farther. As they progressed through the water, they became harder to see.
"As you can see they get pretty dumb and don't think when they are trying to do something like that," Sakura said to Li.
"Yeah, it's crystal clear," Li agreed.
"So I have at least twenty minutes, huh?" Sakura asked.
"U-huh," Li said.
Sakura started to pace up and down, thinking of what to do. She unexpectedly fell on the sand.
"Are you alright?" Li said as he ran to her.
"Yeah, but I tripped on something," Sakura said.
"There's nothing here but flat sand," Li said. "What could you have tripped over?"
"Something moved really fast and I tripped over it," Sakura said to Li.
"Are you hurt?" Li asked. Sakura was surprised at Li because of what he just asked her- so was Li. "Uh...yeah I think so," Sakura said after some time.
"Um...that's um...good," Li said.
Li was holding Sakura at the shoulders and he was now sitting right behind her. The two of them were searching for what tripped Sakura. A bush next to them shook.
"What was that?" Li said.
"I don't know..." Sakura replied.
"I'll go check," Li volunteered. He walked over to the bush and saw that it was a wolf. "Uh...Sakura? On the count of three, run back to your cabin and I'll go back to mine, ok?"
"Wh-why?" Sakura said.
"Just trust me," Li said. "One, two, three!"
Li and Sakura ran as fast as they could back to their cabins. Sakura looked back at Li and saw that the wolf was running after him. Instantly, Li started to slow down and was getting tired. The wolf slowed down when it got close to Li. It was staring into Li's eyes. Terrified, Li did nothing.
'I have to do something!'
Sakura thought.
'But what?' Sakura took out the Key of Clow.
'Work! Come on! Do something!'
Instantly, there was a flash of bright light coming from the Key. The Key grew and turned into a staff. Sakura, eyeing it with amaze, finally took it. As her hand touched the wand, she remembered what Kero had told her the night she discovered the Clow Book.
"Sakura, listen carefully," Kero said. "You have the Windy Card. To use it, chant this:
Power bestowed upon me,
Harness the power of thee,
Unleash the power of the Key.
You got that, Sakura? It's very important because that will 'activate' your Key. Once you do that, you can tell the Clow Card you want to do whatever you want it to do."
"Power bestowed upon me, Harness the power of thee, Unleash the power of the Key!" Sakura chanted. "Windy, blow that wolf away from Li!"
Windy followed her instructions and blew the wolf away from Li and out of sight.
"Phew," Sakura sighed. "Li, are you ok?"
"Uh...Yeah," Li said. "Thanks."
"Your welcome, Li," Sakura said.
"But I could've handled that myself," Li added. "Well, goodnight."
"Whatever..." Sakura said, smiling. Windy turned back to a card and returned to Sakura.

"Sakura!" Madison said. "Come on! Wake up, it's time for breakfast and you're not even out of bed!"
"Huh?" Sakura sat up. "What time is it?" She looked at the clock. "Eight o'clock?!"
Sakura hurried up and got dressed. She suddenly remembered about Nathan and Brian.
"Nathan! Brian!" Sakura said out loud and ran out the door.
"What?!" Katie said.
"Beats me," Amy said. "But let's follow her."
The three girls went out the door and followed their friend.
"Hey," Sakura said, "open up! Nathan, Brian?"
Li answered the door. It was only him and Paul who where inside.
"I never saw them since last night," Li whispered.
"Oh no," Sakura gasped. "I'm going to check the cafeteria."
"They weren't there when I ate," Li said as Sakura hurried to the cafeteria.
As Li closed the door, Paul asked Li a question. "You like her, huh?"
"Wha-what're you talking about?" Li stuttered.
"I've seen the way you look at her," Paul said. "Why don't you tell her how you really feel?"
"That's ridiculous," Li said.
"Come on, where's your sense of romance?" Paul said.
Sakura came out of the cafeteria after not finding the two boys. Her three friends were still on her tail.
"Did you see the way Li looked at Sakura when he opened the door?" Katie said.
"Yeah, I know," Amy answered.
"Something's going on here that we don't know about," Madison said.
Sakura gave up and sat down on the sand where she sat last night while talking to Li. A hand touched her shoulder. She looked up and saw that it was Nathan. Behind him was Brian.
"Oh thank God," Sakura said. "You two are safe."
"Why wouldn't we be?" Nathan said. "We didn't mean to worry you."
"Yeah, sorry," Brian said.
"Well, what happened last night?" Sakura asked.
"Oh, ok," Nathan said as he sat down next to her. Brian remained standing. "We did everything as planned, Sakura. Went there, looked around, and came back without a single trace."
"Hey, Brian," Amy said. "Can I talk to you?" She called him from a nearby bench. It was a little far from where Sakura and Nathan were so they couldn't hear what they were talking about.
"What's up?" Brian asked.
"Well, why did Sakura go looking for you two?" Madison asked.
Brian told them what happened.
Meanwhile, Sakura and Nathan were staring into the beautiful ocean before them.
Nathan finally broke the silence. "I didn't know you cared so much, Cherry." 'Cherry' is what Nathan called Sakura when they were both little because Sakura meant cherry blossom. The two of them knew each other for as long as they could remember. They were very close friends.
"Nathan, you know I do," Sakura said. "And what's with 'Cherry' all of a sudden?"
"Come on, you know you like me calling you that," Nathan said. "At least you did back then..."
"I'm sorry," Sakura said. "It's just because you made me a little mad, worrying me like that. If you want to keep calling me that, then I won't mind. And, yes, I still like it when you call me Cherry.
"Well, I'm sorry I made you worry so much," Nathan said. "By the way, Brian and I were the first ones to eat. That's why no one saw us eat. After him and I ate, we just went over to the other side of camp and messed around in the woods."
"Well, I'd better go eat," Sakura said. "I'm starving."
"I'll join you," Nathan said. "I won't eat, but I'll keep you company."
"Alright," Sakura said as the two of them walked toward the cafeteria.
"Hey!" Madison said. "You two aren't forgetting about us, are you?" The rest of their friends came along with them.
Paul and Li were sitting outside on a bench, just enjoying the peace and quiet. Paul noticed that Li was looking at Sakura and her friends.
"I get it," Paul said. "You're jealous of Nate, huh? Because he's so close with Sakura?"
"Cut it out, Paul," Li said.
At the cafeteria, the four girls ate while the two boys sat with them.
"So, what happened with you and Mr. 'Go Away and Don't Bother Me Again?'" Nathan said.
Brian and Madison laughed at Nathan's joke.
Sakura, not laughing, told them all about last night and why she was out there. As she finished, her friends were amazed.
"So you know how to use these thing-a-ma-jigs?" Brian said.
"Well, only mine," Sakura said. "I'll have to ask Kero about you guys."
After the girls finished eating, the six of them hung around the beach and built a sandcastle. It was soon at least three feet high with tall towers on each of the four points of the square castle. It was looking quite unbelievable. A crowd started to form and everyone was impressed of how the six friends could create such a thing. Mrs. Allison finally came to see what the crowd was all about.
"Wow!" Mrs. Allison exclaimed. "You guys have made one heck of a sandcastle."
"Yeah," Katie said. "We really worked hard on this."
"Well, I'm gonna have to stop you guys for a little while," Mrs. Allison said, "because we're about to do another activity."
"Awww," Amy said. "We were just getting ready to build a moat and a bridge then it would've been done."
"You know what," Mrs. Allison said. "I'll ask one of the parent chaperones to keep an eye on that every once in a while. We wouldn't want your hard work to get ruined now, don't we? Alright everyone, let's head over to the assembly area. Mr. Thompson will give you your instructions. Please keep away from the castle unless you got permission from these six guys who built it."
The children went to the assembly area, which was outdoors. The kids sat on wooden benches and in front of them was an outdoor kind of auditorium. There was a podium in the center front of the auditorium where Mr. Thomas was waiting for all of the fourth graders to come. Once they were all present, he told them that they were going on a group canoe ride. He told them all the safety precautions they had to do or else they would not participate. They were to pair up into twos because each canoe was only capable of holding two people. Amy and Madison paired up while Katie and Brian paired together. That left Nathan and Sakura, who were more than glad to pair up together because they were best friends. Brian, Katie, Madison, and Amy paired together on purpose to make Sakura and Nathan pair together. They knew that they needed some time alone because the longest time they've had together was only a few minutes.
"Do you think it's good to be doing this?" Katie asked Madison.
"Yeah, of course," Madison replied. "You all know how those two are."
"Alright," Mr. Thomas said. "We will give you guys thirty minutes to get ready. We will meet back at the west shore at four o' clock, thirty minutes from now."
"We'd better get clean," Brian said. "I've got sand everywhere."
"U-huh," Sakura said.
The girls went over to their cabin while the boys went to theirs. There was one shower in each cabin so they had to take turns.
"I'll go first," Nathan said as he already was in the bathroom.
"Ok," Brian said. "Who're you paired up with, Li?"
"Um...Paul," Li answered.
"You two wind up doing everything, don't you?" Brian said.
As everyone finished getting ready for the canoe ride, they headed to the west shore. At around four o' clock, everyone was there. They were handed out life jackets and were assigned to a canoe. They were each given a paddle.
"Let's go, Sakura," Nathan said.
"Yeah, hold on," Sakura said. "You're always like this whenever you're excited to do anything."
Brian and Katie were both ready and so were Amy and Madison. As Nathan and Sakura got ready the other kids started to go, being led by Mr. Thomas in a small one-man canoe. Soon, the three pairs were paddling their way around the water. The east shore led to a river. Farther and farther down they went. They stopped and took a break.
"Well, how did you guys like it?" Mrs. Allison asked.
There was a lot of cheer.
"We're gonna head back now," Mrs. Allison said. "It's getting pretty late and besides, if we went any farther the river would go into a thick forest."
They all headed back and were led by another fourth grade teacher. There were a total of four classes and each teacher was with them. Instantly, the river started to become faster and faster. It was pushing them back the way they came. Once they all safely came back to the shore, Mr. Thomas checked to see if all of his students were safe. Mrs. Allison and the other two teachers checked too. Mr. Thomas and the two teachers' classes seemed perfectly fine. There was a sudden gasp from Mrs. Allison.
"What?!" Mr. Thomas asked.
"Four of my students," Mrs. Allison said, "are missing."
"Who?" One of the teachers asked.
"Nathan, Paul, Li, and Sakura," She replied.
